Hast du im Leben auch alles richtig gemacht und fühlst dich als hättest du dir deine Probleme immer selbst erfunden? Hm... wahrscheinlich war das auch so... Und jetzt bringt dich deine Coolness einfach nur noch voran und nie in Bredouille?

Keine Sorge, denn nun gibt es sie : Die SCHOOL OF UNCOOL!

Schulmeisterin Danny Banany und die uncoolen Dozenten führen dich ein in die Kunst des Uncoolseins. Wichtig ist dabei: Uncool ist nicht das neue Cool, es ist nicht dieses extra uncool sein, damit man wieder cool ist.
Dein Hauptfach ist Nachsitzen und deine Hobbys: Weinen und Eskapistisches Tagträumen. Manchmal auch Selbstgespräche. Ganz ohne Filter.
Und du wirst versuchen dem zu entkommen. Und da werden wir dich überzeugen, zu bleiben:

In einem mehrtägigen Schulprogramm werden euch die Strategien und Methoden des Entcoolens beigebracht – wir wechseln den Aggregatzustand von starr nach flüssig und folgen unserer neuen Fluidität in jede bisher unerforschte Ritze unseres Daseins. Klingt nach Sex, ich weiß, ist auch mindestens genauso gut.
Weil das Uncoolsein ein eigentliches Paradies ist. Ein Freifahrtschein der eigenen Lust. Die Absage an das Diktat. Das Diktat der Kunst, der Szene, der Moral. Ein Rhizom der Möglichkeiten.

Das Schulprogramm findet in der Woche von 22.09 – 24.09 statt. Der Stundenplan folgt!

Hey Champ! Were you always too cool for school? Never had any rough time, always got by with a smile, huh? Everything you did in life was a success and you feel like you always invented your own problems to spice things up? Yeah... you probably really did... So basically now you're only getting stuck in your one way street to the top and never fall short?

Don't worry, because now there's THE SCHOOL OF UNCOOL - ready to help!

Headmistress Danny Banany (or Master of Head if you wish...) and their uncool teachers will introduce you to the art of uncoolness. To start things off: Uncool is not the new cool, like when you try to be uncool to be cool again – no that's not what we're after.
Your major will be Detention and your hobbies: Crying and Escapist Daydreaming, Soliloquy with no filter, etc.
And you will be trying hard to escape this – and that's where we tell you about the perks!

In a schooling programme of several days we will teach you the strategies and methods of uncooling – we change our state of matter from solid to fluid and penetrate into each and every undiscovered crack of our existence. Sounds like sex, right? It feels like it too.
Because being uncool is the real and true paradise – it's a free ticket to your own desires, the countermand of the dictate of Art, of the Scene, of the moral and society. A rhizome of the possibilities.

Daniel Chelminiak, alias Danny Banany, studierte an der Universität Hamburg sowie der HfbK und begründete 2012 mit Kick-Ass-Queereeoké ein Format des Empowerments und des glamurös-politischen Aktivismus. Er arbeitete als Performer und Tänzer bereits mit Angela Richter, Frau Kraushaar und Peaches, als Dramaturg mit Tucké Royale und als Redakteur für das Plant-Age-Magazin. Es folgten Projekte wie der Unicorn Ball, der erste Vogue Ball Hamburgs, The Art of Being Many mit der Geheimagentur und Hamamness mit Hamburgs Uschi Geller Experience und God's Entertainment aus Wien. Er ist Teil des Kollektivs Migrantpolitan und Gründer der School of Uncool, die im Rahmen der Fleetstreet Residenz konzipiert wird.

He also collaborated in numerous projets as a singer (Frau Kraushaar), dancer (Peaches), performer (Angela Richter), dramaturg (Tucké Royale) and editor (Plant-Age magazine). In 2014 he organised the Unicorn Ball and joined in with performances for The Art of Being Many, became a collective memeber with Uschi Geller Experience and Migrantpolitan. He is the founder of the School of Uncool that is being currently worked on during the Fleetstreet residency programme.
